Midori and Ryunosuke are listed with Long Sword on the official website. Midori’s accelerated gauge and Ryunosuke’s Well-fed state are character mechanics, not interchangeable weapon rules.

Pre-launch systems coverage describes the Fated Adventurer as the customizable hunter who can choose among weapon types. Named Adventurers instead have a listed weapon affinity. The exact launch unlock path has not been tested for this reference.
